What is the relevance of law in business? One word: CONTRACTS.

Contracts can be used to grow your business (Cash Flow), to avoid problems before they become problems (Conflicts), and to help you stay out of trouble with governmental agencies (Compliance).

But be careful. Contracts -- bad Contracts -- can be a source of trouble. If you don&#039;t understand the terms of a contract, take the time to learn -- and if you need to call an attorney to understand the terms, it is a wise move. If the other party to a contract says to sign it and doesn&#039;t want you to take the time to learn or understand it, you should probably walk away from the deal.

The right to make and enter into a contract includes the right to make and enter into a bad contract.
